500 years have passed since mankind first took to the stars…
Shortly after humanity received the technology for interstellar travel, a brilliant geneticist, Dr. Linda Pontus, retrofitted some of this technology for her own private project—the creation of a new race of beings.
They would be, in her mind, an unstoppable force. Intelligent, cooperative, physically tough and brutally cunning; they would be more than just mindless brutes—they would be perfect.
They would be the ruin of all she despised…
Now only one remains.
The hybrid super-race that ravaged the galaxy is extinguished. Djowa is the last hyena.
Unless, of course, someone were to rediscover Dr. Pontus’ lab.
An intelligent, brutal person with nothing to lose.
Like Djowa…
THE HYENA QUEEN
Is a graphic novel I’m working on right now. It’s an odd tale that takes a small crew of down-and-outs across a declining galaxy, led by a calculating captain with malevolent designs.
But it isn’t a hopeless story—far from it.
For shortly before Djowa found herself floating in space, the last of her kind, she came across a curious little necklace, accompanied with a mysterious certificate. She wondered if it might be worth any money. It may prove to be something far more.
And perhaps there is something to an old fairytale about a hidden Emperor, a man dressed like a medieval king whose space station can be found by those in need.
I told you it was odd.
